The Last Shoot at Geo Reed in Montreal with a 4X5 Speed Graphic

The Geo Reed abandonned plant is located the St-Henri district of Montreal. For the past few years it has become a Gallery for local and international Graffiti artists to showcase their work. Sadly all good things must come to an end and the building is set for demolition today.

So last saturday I decided it was now or never to haul up 20 lbs of gear in that Godforsaken place and take some 4X5 negatives with my Graflex Speed Graphic. Here are the shots, all 6 of them. Hope you enjoy.

This is what a 4X5 Graflex Speed Graphic looks like.

Darkroom prints, fun with negatives

Finally got my darkroom up and running. Pulled out one of my favourite negatives and started making 5X7 prints of the races I caught at the Fall classic at Circuit Mont-Tremblant a few months ago. They are not perfect scans but they look a lot better in person on that glossy paper. This was done with the chemical emulsion process paper, not printed on an inkjet printer.

Thanks for watching

Graflex Speed Graphic, learning curve.

Still working on mastering the Graflex Speed Graphic. This beast was the choice of Pros back in the day and I have still a lot to learn on how to operate it properly. Here are some shots I have so far on 4X5 negatives.
